Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 23, 2026 · Version 1.0

DevelopPlay Studio LLC ("Liminal," "we," "us") provides the Liminal Social subscription service for small businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

1. Information you give us

  • Account and business information: your name, email, business name, business address, and industry, provided at signup or during onboarding. A phone number is optional.
  • Social account access: authorization for us to post to your Instagram and TikTok accounts, typically via official platform OAuth connections. We receive and store the access tokens needed to post on your behalf.
  • Content you upload: logos, photos, footage, music files, copy, and other brand materials you send us for video production.
  • Communications: messages, emails, and feedback you exchange with us (including tone-preference notes and approval decisions).
  • Terms-acceptance record: when you accept our Terms at signup, we log the version you accepted, the time, and the IP address used. The signup form states this openly before you accept.

2. Payment information

Payments are processed by PayPal. We do not receive, see, or store your full card number.

3. Information collected automatically

  • Performance analytics: views, likes, comments, shares, and follower changes on the Videos we post for you, read through our scheduling tool and the platforms' own analytics (e.g., Later, Instagram, TikTok). We use these to adjust creative direction.
  • Website data: on liminalsocial.com we use cookies and similar technologies for basic site operation. We do not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) on this site.

4. How we use your information

  • To deliver the service: produce Videos, post them, and report performance.
  • To bill you and administer your subscription.
  • To communicate with you: onboarding, approvals, support, and required notices (including the pre-trial-end reminder).
  • To improve our service and creative quality.
  • With your separate written consent only: to showcase your finished Videos in our portfolio/marketing (see Terms §7).

5. What we share and with whom

  • PayPal — to charge your subscription.
  • Scheduling/publishing tool (e.g., Later.com) — your connected social accounts and the Videos, for posting and analytics.
  • Platform APIs (Instagram, TikTok) — posting and performance data, under their terms.
  • Service providers — hosting, email, and storage vendors that process data only on our instructions.
  • Legal compliance — if required by law or valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your business data with other clients.

6. Social account access — limits and deletion

We use your social-account access only to post your Videos and read posting performance. We never post anything you did not approve, and we never use your accounts to promote anyone else. When your subscription ends, we revoke and delete the stored access tokens by the day after your cancellation takes effect (Terms §14).

7. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including access controls limited to the staff and systems that need the data to run the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data retention

  • Account and billing records: kept as long as your account is active and afterward only as required by law (e.g., tax/accounting record duties).
  • Uploaded brand materials and finished Videos: kept until the day after cancellation, then deleted; deleted sooner on request.
  • Published Videos on your own social accounts are controlled by you and the platforms, not by us.

9. Your rights

You may ask us at any time to: (a) show you what personal information we hold about you; (b) correct inaccurate information; (c) delete your information (subject to legal retention duties); (d) revoke your social-account access. Contact: developplaystudio@gmail.com.

10. Children

Our service is for businesses, not children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
